EU Ready to Support Housing and Job for Afghanistani Returnees
DID Press: Veronika Buskovic-Pohar, European Union Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan, announced that EU is prepared to assist in building housing and creating employment opportunities for Afghanistan migrants returning to the country.

According to a statement released by Arg (Afghanistan Presidential Palace), Buskovic-Pohar made the remarks during a meeting with Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Taliban’s Prime Minister.
The EU envoy praised the Taliban administration’s management of the repatriation process and said the EU plans to participate in construction and livelihood projects aimed at supporting returnees.
She also expressed the EU’s readiness to cooperate in the treatment of drug addicts in Afghanistan.
In response, Mawlawi Hanafi thanked the EU for its assistance to returning refugees and families affected by recent earthquakes.
During the meeting, Hanafi discussed issues related to climate change, natural disasters, and refugee repatriation, urging regional countries and the international community to uphold their responsibilities in protecting the rights of migrants.
