Afghanistani Political Analyst Salim Paygir Targeted in Kabul

DID Press: Salim Paygir, an Afghanistani political analyst, was reportedly targeted in an armed attack in capital Kabul on Thursday. He is in a critical condition, according to reports.

Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Taliban-led Interior Ministry, confirmed that Paygir was attacked at his residence.

Qani said that the assault appears to stem from personal enmity, and one individual has been arrested in connection with the incident.

According to reports, Paygir was injured and has been transported to a hospital for treatment.

Recently, Paygir had been participating in political programs across several Afghanistan media outlets.
