Haqqani Orders Taliban Border Forces to Defend Afghanistan’s Territory

DID Press: Sirajuddin Haqqani, acting interior minister of Afghanistan’s Taliban government, has instructed the group’s border forces to defend the country’s territory against any hostile movements along the frontier, said local sources.

The order was reportedly issued amid rising tensions in several border areas and was described as an effort to strengthen defensive readiness and safeguard national sovereignty.

Taliban officials stressed that border units are obliged to respond firmly to any form of foreign aggression or threat and to maintain security across frontier regions.
