Taliban Delegation in Turkey for Follow-up Talks with Pakistan

DID Press: A senior Taliban delegation led by Deputy Interior Minister Haji Najib has travelled to Turkey for follow-up talks with Pakistan after a recent agreement reached between the two sides in Doha, Taliban officials said on Thursday.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the visit aims to review and finalize issues discussed in Doha meeting.

He said the talks are part of the Taliban government’s diplomatic efforts to resolve disputes peacefully and strengthen regional stability.

“Taliban administration sees dialogue and mutual understanding as a “sustainable solution” to reduce tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan,” Mujahid added.

Sources close to the negotiations said discussions will focus on border security, counterterrorism intelligence sharing, and management of cross-border movement.
