Israel Calls Arrest Warrant for Netanyahu ‘PR Move’ by Turkey

DID Press: Israeli regime described the arrest warrant issued by the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office for Benjamin Netanyahu and several senior officials as a “PR Move” orchestrated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s Foreign Minister, reacted sharply against Turkey, saying: “Israel resolutely and with contempt rejects this latest move by dictator Erdoğan, calling it another PR move.”

On November 7, the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, Israel Katz, Defense Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Minister of Internal Security, Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, and several other military officials. They were accused of “genocide and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip” as well as violations related to the “Steadfast Resistance Fleet” attempting to break the Gaza naval blockade.

Israeli officials called Turkey’s move legally meaningless and characterized it as an attempt to attract the attention of the global Muslim public amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
