India Puts Border Troops on Alert after Deadly Delhi Blast

DID Press: Indian government declared a state of high alert along its borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh following a deadly explosion in the capital, local media reported.

According to India Today, India’s Border Security Force (BSF) has increased vigilance and intensified patrols to prevent any potential cross-border threats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed on the situation and held discussions with Home Minister Amit Shah, ordering an immediate investigation into the incident.

The explosion occurred on Monday evening near a traffic signal close to the historic Red Fort in Old Delhi — one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions.

Preliminary reports say at least 10 people were killed and more than 20 others injured, though the exact cause of the blast remains under investigation.
