Ariana Afghan Airlines Launches International Cargo Flights
DID Press: Ariana Afghan Airlines announced it will officially begin handling imports and exports through its cargo flights, starting Sunday, November 16 – a move expected to significantly reduce the cost of transporting commercial goods.

In a statement, the airline said that under a decision by the Economic Deputy of the Taliban government’s Prime Minister’s Office, the rate for exporting goods via Delhi is set at $1 per kilogram, while imports are charged 80 cents per kilogram.
Bakht Rahman Sharafat, CEO of Ariana, said the initiative aims to provide an affordable and reliable route for Afghan products to reach global markets. He added that Ariana is committed to playing its national role in promoting the country’s trade.
Officials noted that cargo flights will initially carry items such as fresh and dried fruits, saffron, carpets, and other Afghan products to various countries.
Ariana has called on domestic traders to take advantage of this new capacity to reduce costs, boost exports, and gain better access to international markets.
