Taliban Trade Minister Seeking Stronger Commercial Ties in India
DID Press: Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Taliban government, visited India for an official trip during which he toured the international “Pragati Maidan” trade exhibition in New Delhi. While visiting the booths of Afghan companies, he held discussions with Afghan traders.

Afghan traders highlighted growing trade opportunities with India but pointed to banking, customs, and regulatory challenges, calling for greater facilitation to expand commercial exchanges.
The Taliban minister pledged to raise these issues with Indian officials and work toward resolving them.
Azizi also met with officials from India’s Trade Promotion Organization, where he emphasized holding joint exhibitions in Kabul and New Delhi, establishing a permanent Afghan pavilion, easing visa issuance for Afghan traders, and strengthening Afghanistan’s commercial presence in international events.
