India Ready to Invest in Afghanistan’s Pharma Industry
DID Press: Taliban Minister of Industry and Commerce says India expressed willingness to establish pharmaceutical factories in the country.

Nooruddin Azizi, the Taliban minister, met members of India’s Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council during his five-day visit to the country.
According to the ministry, the Indian side indicated its readiness for joint investment and the launch of medicine-production facilities in Afghanistan.
Discussions covered drug imports, improving pharmaceutical quality, investment opportunities, and resolving existing challenges in bilateral pharmaceutical trade.
Under the agreement reached, Afghan pharmaceutical representatives will visit reputable Indian factories, while an Indian delegation will travel to Kabul to assess the feasibility of setting up production facilities and expanding medicine exports to Afghanistan.
