With Unity and Devotion, Afghanistan Observes Grand Fatimiya Ceremonies

DID Press: With the commencement of Fatimiya days, commemorative ceremonies honoring Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) were held across Afghanistan, attracting large crowds and creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Religious authorities highlighted unity and coexistence during the observances, which were widely reflected on social media.

In Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat, Bamyan, Daikundi, and other Shia-majority areas, mosques, hussainiyas, tekya houses, and private homes hosted mourners paying tribute to the revered daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The Supreme Shia Commission of Afghanistan, Shia Scholars’ Council, and other religious organizations issued statements and coordinated events, urging speakers and organizers to avoid divisive topics and focus on Lady Fatima’s teachings of justice, spirituality, and ethical conduct.

Ceremonial programs included sermons on her exalted status, her role in strengthening Islamic foundations, and her sacrifices in defending the Imamate, alongside recitations of elegies, mourning chants, and chest-beating rituals.

Young people and adolescents played a notable role in organizing events and maintaining order, volunteering to assist with smooth operations.

Social media platforms saw a surge of condolence messages, religious narrations, thematic images, and analytical content about Lady Fatima’s life. Afghan users emphasized avoiding sectarian conflicts and promoted unity and mutual respect. Several religious pages also broadcasted live programs and analytical content about her teachings, receiving widespread engagement.
