DID Press: At least 22 members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in a clash with Pakistani security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced Pakistan army, though it did not provide details on army casualties.

According to the army, in a military operation on November 24 in Bannu District, 22 TTP fighters were killed following heavy clashes with security forces. The statement described the militants as being targeted and eliminated after a fierce confrontation.
The Pakistan Army reiterated the TTP’s alleged links to India, labeling the group a “proxy anti-Pakistan force.” While providing details on militant casualties, the army did not disclose any information about casualties or injuries among its own personnel.
Bannu District has faced increasing insecurity in recent weeks and, due to its border location in northwestern Pakistan, serves as a key route for drug and weapons trafficking as well as a base of activity for extremist groups.
