Gaza Death Toll Exceeds 70,000 Despite Truce, Israeli Strikes Continue

DID Press: The total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict has reached approximately 70,100, reported Gaza Health Ministry.

Although a ceasefire was mediated in October 2025, Israeli strikes have continued, with new images and reports of recovered bodies indicating that violence in Gaza has not stopped.

Recent attacks reportedly killed two children aged 8 and 11 in southern Gaza near a school or a refugee shelter.

Authorities in Gaza have warned that the official ceasefire does not mean an end to hostilities, and new casualties — whether from direct conflict or the collapse of infrastructure and lack of services — may continue to raise the death toll.
