DID Press: US President Donald Trump announced that Washington is on the verge of launching a ground operation against Venezuela. He said the routes used by targeted forces and the locations of individuals of interest have been fully identified, adding that this phase of the campaign will be “easier” than the air and naval strikes.
Trump said that U.S. forces will “very soon” begin ground operations against Venezuela, emphasizing that land operations are the “easiest” battlefield for advancing because the movement patterns of opposing forces and the residences of high-value targets have already been precisely mapped.
“We know where they live and where the main villains are. The operation will begin very soon,” he said.
These remarks come at a time when tensions between Washington and Caracas have escalated sharply in recent months, driven by U.S. accusations of drug trafficking and regional security threats linked to the Maduro government.
Experts warn that any ground operation could trigger broad instability across the region and provoke a strong reaction from the government of Nicolás Maduro.
