DID Press: At least two people were killed and nine others injured in a shooting Saturday evening (local time) inside the Engineering and Physics building at Brown University, as final exams were underway.
According to Rhode Island state authorities, a large-scale manhunt has been launched to apprehend the suspect, who remains at large. The university campus and surrounding areas have been placed under lockdown.
The Governor of Rhode Island said she is in direct contact with U.S. President Donald Trump and the FBI Director, confirming that federal resources have been mobilized to secure the area and capture the gunman.
