DID Press: Supreme Council for the National Resistance of Afghanistan expressed condolences following the deaths of Afghan citizens from cold at the Iran-Afghanistan border, describing the incident as a stark reflection of the country’s fragile conditions and ongoing civilian suffering.

In its statement, the council highlighted that deep political, economic, and humanitarian crises have forced Afghans into perilous migration routes, sometimes costing lives. The council called these deaths a heavy loss for grieving families and the collective conscience of the Afghan people.
The statement further emphasized that the continuation of irregular migration is a direct consequence of the absence of an effective, accountable, and legitimate government. The council urged the international community and regional countries to responsibly review their policies toward Afghanistan and support the establishment of an inclusive, lawful, and functional governance system.
