Russia: Iran Has Legal Right to Maintain Nuclear Program

DID Press: Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative to international organizations in Vienna, stressed Iran’s right to continue its national nuclear program.

Responding to comments by former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Ulyanov said that Iran has a legitimate right to maintain and advance its nuclear capabilities.

He highlighted that any potential negotiations should focus solely on the nuclear issue, and regional or missile-related matters should not be included in the dialogue.

Ulyanov described this approach as consistent with international frameworks and stressed the importance of all parties adhering to the agreed principles.
