Zelensky Urges Destruction of Putin in Christmas Message

DID Press: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his Christmas address that Ukrainians hope to see Russian President Vladimir Putin “destroyed,” referencing Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine.

In a video message published on his Telegram channel, Zelensky did not mention Putin by name, but said: “Today, we all have one dream … may he be destroyed. But when we turn to God, we ask for something greater.”

The remarks came as global leaders shared traditional Christmas messages focused on peace and goodwill.

Zelensky described the Christmas holidays as a moment for national unity and reflection on Ukraine’s future, urging citizens to pray for “greater hopes” for the country.
