First Afghan Pomegranates Shipment Exported to Qatar

DID Press: The first Afghan pomegranates consignment has been exported to Qatar to be distributed in international market.

Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock announced that the initial consignment, sourced from Kandahar province, was sent by a private company.

The shipment weighs 20 tons and is valued at over $30,000.
The export of Afghan pomegranates to Qatar can open new markets for the country’s agricultural products and increase income for local farmers, said officials.
