Guterres’ Pakistan Visit Ends; Islamabad Highlights Kashmir, Water Rights

DID Press: UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ official visit to Pakistan ended after three days of meetings and discussions with senior political and military officials in the country.

Guterres was in Pakistan from October 6 to 8 and held talks with several senior Pakistani officials on regional and international issues.

During their meetings with the UN secretary-general, Pakistani officials emphasized resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the United Nations Charter and also called for Pakistan to have access to its water rights from rivers whose sources are located in Indian territory.
