Taliban: Afghanistan-US Relations Continue Without Major Obstacles
DID Press: Political Deputy of the Taliban government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that interactions between Kabul and Washington are proceeding normally, with both sides taking a pragmatic approach to expanding bilateral relations.

Zakir Jalali, the political deputy, noted that current Afghanistan-US relations face no major obstacles.
Highlighting US involvement in certain Afghan infrastructure projects, including the Kajaki Dam and Kandahar International Airport, Jalali emphasized that these cooperative efforts should be considered when evaluating the state of bilateral ties.
He also described the 20-year US military presence in Afghanistan as “a different phase” and added that the current context requires a fresh and realistic perspective on the relationship between the two countries.
