DID Press: Unemployment rate among Saudi citizens reached 7.5 percent in the third quarter of 2025, marking the highest level recorded so far this year.
According to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, this represents a 0.7 percent increase compared to the second quarter. Local media, including Al-Sharq, highlighted that such a high unemployment rate among Saudi nationals is unprecedented for the year.
The data also indicate that only 45.3 percent of citizens aged 15 and above were active in the labor market during this period. When including foreign residents in Saudi Arabia, labor market participation rises to 64.6 percent.
