DID Press: German magazine Der Spiegel reported that an audio recording of conversations between European officials and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicates a lack of trust in U.S. President Donald Trump among Europe’s leaders.
According to the report, although European officials welcomed the outcomes of Zelensky’s recent talks with Trump, they remain skeptical about Trump’s willingness to honor his commitments. During the conversation, they appeared intent on endorsing Trump’s positions in order to preserve U.S. support for Ukraine.
In another segment of the recording, the German chancellor reportedly warned Zelensky to proceed with greater caution regarding any potential territorial concessions to Russia and the prospect of receiving security guarantees, stressing the need for careful consideration of the risks involved.
