Taliban: 16 km of TAPI Pipeline Installed in Afghanistan
DID Press: Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson of Taliban authorities, said 16 kilometers of TAPI gas pipeline have so far been laid inside Afghanistan, while preparations are underway for the installation of an additional 87 kilometers.

In a post on X on Thursday, Mujahid reported progress on the multi-country pipeline project, noting that the current segment runs through Afghan territory and the supporting infrastructure for the next construction phase is in place.
He added that once new pipe shipments arrive, installation will proceed at a pace of roughly one kilometer per day. According to Mujahid, 66 kilometers are still required to connect the TAPI line to the city of Herat.
The TAPI project — designed to carry Turkmen gas through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India — is regarded as one of the region’s most significant energy initiatives and holds strategic value for participating countries.
