DID Press: Russia’s Ministry of Foreign affairs issued a statement expressing deep concern over what it described as “the armed aggression of the United States against Venezuela,” condemning the move in the strongest terms.
“We reaffirm our solidarity with the people of Venezuela and our support for the course pursued by the country’s Bolivarian government,” the statement said.
Moscow warned that the latest developments risk undermining regional stability.
The ministry also stressed the importance of preserving Latin America as a “zone free of tension and conflict,” adding that the region should remain a “zone of peace.”
