Kabul, Muscat Pledge to Boost Trade and Transit Ties

DID Press: Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi held a phone call with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and expanding strategic cooperation between the two sides, officials said.

During the call, the two ministers reviewed prospects for enhanced cooperation in trade, transit, and transport sectors.

Muttaqi referred to the positive outcomes of his recent visit to Muscat, stressing the importance of continued exchanges of diplomatic and technical delegations to advance cooperation. He also invited his Omani counterpart to pay an official visit to Kabul.

Al Busaidi underscored the value of ongoing delegation exchanges and said Oman plans to dispatch a technical aviation team to Afghanistan in the near future.
