DID Press: Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned U.S. representatives that a lasting peace cannot be achieved without resolving territorial disputes, according to Russian officials and a report by Reuters.

Russia said it would hold security talks with the United States and Ukraine on Friday in Abu Dhabi. Reuters reported that Putin made the remarks during a meeting with U.S. representatives, stressing that any sustainable settlement would require addressing territorial questions.
Yuri Ushakov, a Kremlin aide, said the talks were “important, constructive and very frank.”
U.S. President Donald Trump, who pledged during his election campaign to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, repeated those promises after returning to the White House.
The United States and European countries remain Ukraine’s main allies in its war against Russia.
