Taliban: No Group Has Access to US Military Equipment Left in Afghanistan
DID Press: Taliban’s Interior Ministry denied reports that U.S. military weapons and equipment left behind after the American withdrawal from Afghanistan have been distributed to armed groups, insisting all such equipment remains under full government control.

Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Taliban Interior Ministry, said all weapons and military equipment abandoned by U.S. forces are entirely in the custody of the ruling authorities, with no access permitted outside official government structures.
Rejecting what he described as rumors and inaccurate reports, Qani said claims that various groups have obtained the equipment are false and do not reflect reality. He added that all remaining weapons have been collected, registered, and are being stored under the supervision of security institutions.
The spokesperson argued that the spread of such reports is intended to stir public concern and misinformation, stressing that the authorities bear full responsibility for safeguarding and managing the equipment and will not allow any misuse.
