Afghanistan, Qatar Strengthen Ties in Infrastructure Projects and Capacity Building

DID Press: Taliban’s Ambassador to Doha, Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, in a meeting with Qatar’s Minister of Municipality, Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, emphasized the development of bilateral cooperation in infrastructure projects and the enhancement of managerial capacities.

During the official meeting, both parties discussed and exchanged views on expanding joint cooperation in construction and capacity-building projects, with a focus on the development of roads, bridges, and public infrastructure.

According to the Afghan embassy in Qatar, the two sides agreed to extend their collaboration, particularly in improving urban infrastructure and facilitating transportation in both countries.

Additionally, both sides highlighted the need for joint programs to improve technical and managerial capacities in urban planning. These programs will include specialized training for municipal staff in both countries and the exchange of experiences in urban management.
