Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan Confer on Afghanistan’s Future
DID Press: Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held consultations on Afghanistan, focusing on bilateral coordination and regional approaches to stability and cooperation.

Ismatullah Irgashev, Uzbekistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, met with Beybut Atamkulov, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, to discuss the latest developments in bilateral cooperation related to Afghanistan.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized their shared interest in maintaining and strengthening regular dialogue on efforts to address Afghanistan issue, describing such coordination as essential for regional stability and security.
Ambassador Atamkulov praised Uzbekistan’s initiatives to help shape a cohesive regional position on Afghanistan, highlighting Tashkent’s constructive role in advancing regional cooperation.
Part of the talks also focused on prospects for Afghanistan’s participation in regional connectivity projects, including the proposed Trans-Afghan railway, which is viewed as a key initiative to enhance economic integration and transit links across the region.
