Amrullah Saleh Claims US Sent $40M in Cash to Kabul via Uzbekistan
DID Press: Amrullah Saleh, Afghanistan’s former vice president, has once again claimed US transferred $40 million in cash to Kabul via a newly established cargo airline.

“They innovate but can’t hide. The United States chartered an obscure, newly launched company based in Tashkent called Sky Guard to deliver $40 million to the Taliban under the leadership of Hibatullah Akhundzada on February 9, 2026.”
According to Saleh, the aircraft landed at Kabul International Airport at 9:00 a.m. and departed at 11:00 a.m. He added the flight originated from Sharjah but “does not appear in any publicly traceable flight data.”
Saleh further claimed that the airline was established in 2025 and operates “three leased aircraft used to transport US cash to the Taliban.” He alleged that the company functions as a subsidiary of the US firm AerSale.
“The deep state of the United States continues to finance the Taliban in a mafia-like manner. It appears they do not heed the United States Congress,” Saleh explained.
US officials, the companies, and the authorities in Kabul have not publicly responded to these claims. Independent sources have not verified the details of the alleged flight or the cash transfer.
The allegations come amid ongoing debate over the mechanisms and transparency of international cash assistance delivered to Afghanistan.
