80 Nations Condemn Israel’s Expansion Drive in West Bank
DID Press: Eighty countries have issued a joint statement strongly condemning decisions by Israel to expand its illegal presence in the West Bank, describing the moves as a clear violation of international law.

In a rare coordinated diplomatic move, the signatories — including China, several European powers, and a number of Arab and Islamic states — said Israel’s continued settlement expansion and increased footprint in the occupied territory undermine prospects for peace.
The statement stressed that settlement construction and related measures breach international legal norms and relevant resolutions of United Nations, further eroding the viability of a two-state solution.
The countries urged the international community to apply more effective political and diplomatic pressure to halt Israel’s unilateral actions and preserve the framework for a negotiated two-state settlement.
