Ex-Afghan MP Warns Pakistan of Severe Fallout from Any Strike on Afghanistan

DID Press: former Afghan lawmaker and outspoken critic of the Taliban warned Islamabad that any military strike on Afghanistan would carry serious consequences for Pakistan.

Abdul Hafiz Mansur, a former member of Afghanistan’s parliament, said that any military aggression against Afghan territory could inflict heavy and far-reaching damage on Pakistan. He did not provide operational details but stressed that the repercussions of any such action would be “serious and wide-ranging.”

The remarks come amid renewed threats by Pakistan’s defence minister against the Taliban, including warnings of possible cross-border military action.

Escalating tensions along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border risk undermining regional stability and could trigger significant humanitarian and economic consequences.
