Taliban FM Meets Chinese Ambassador to Discuss Bilateral Ties and Pakistan’s Aggression
DID Press: Taliban Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Zhao Xing, China’s ambassador to Kabul, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation. The talks also focused on recent security developments, particularly Pakistan’s violations of Afghan sovereignty.

Muttaqi highlighted the Taliban’s balanced, economy-focused policy and stressed that Afghanistan seeks relations based on mutual respect, non-interference, and good-neighborliness. He underlined that protecting Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is fundamental for regional stability and building trust among nations.
Ambassador Zhao expressed concern over recent regional developments and emphasized that stability and security benefit all neighboring countries, reaffirming China’s support for constructive cooperation and diplomatic dialogue.
