TTP Leaders in Kabul’s Green Zone, Warns of Possible Pakistani Strike
DID Press: Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir has claimed, citing diplomatic sources, that leaders of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are present inside the diplomatic district of Kabul.

According to the report, Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities are allegedly providing protection to several TTP leaders within the city’s Green Zone. The sources named Noor Wali Mehsud, the head of the TTP, along with Hafiz Gul Bahadur and Bashir Zeb, claiming they are located near diplomatic residences in the Wazir Akbar Khan area.
Diplomatic sources warned that the presence of wanted militants near foreign missions could pose serious security concerns. Some diplomats and international staff, including representatives from the United Nations, have reportedly raised the issue with Taliban officials.
The claims come amid growing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities over the activities of the TTP. Islamabad has repeatedly accused Kabul of failing to restrain the group inside Afghan territory—allegations the Taliban have previously denied.
