DID Press: Donald Trump said Washington had no prior knowledge of a reported Israeli strike on Iran’s South Pars Gas Field, while warning Tehran against further attacks in the region.

Trump said Israel carried out the strike “out of anger” over developments in the Middle East, adding that only a relatively small portion of the massive gas facility was hit.
He stressed that the United States had no involvement in the operation and that Qatar was “in no way” connected to the attack or aware of it.
Trump accused Iran of responding unfairly by targeting part of Qatar’s LNG infrastructure, saying Tehran lacked full knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the South Pars incident.
He added that no further Israeli strikes on the field would occur unless Iran “foolishly” attacks what he described as an “innocent country,” referring to Qatar.
In a strong warning, Trump said the United States would respond decisively—“with or without Israel’s consent”—and could target the entire South Pars field with overwhelming force if Qatari LNG facilities are attacked again.
While emphasizing he does not seek such escalation due to its long-term consequences for Iran, Trump said he would not hesitate to act if further strikes on Qatar’s energy infrastructure take place.
