DID Press: Kim Jong Un has declared that North Korea will continue strengthening its nuclear forces without interruption, reaffirming Pyongyang’s long-term strategic commitment to deterrence.
According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim told parliament that the country’s status as a nuclear power is “irreversible” and will not be subject to policy change under any circumstances.
He emphasized that expanding nuclear capabilities is essential for safeguarding national security, advancing economic programs, and maintaining regional stability. Kim also cited the evolving security environment around his country as justification for prioritizing nuclear deterrence as a central pillar of state strategy.
The remarks come as North Korea’s nuclear program remains one of the most contentious issues in regional and global security, drawing sustained scrutiny and reaction from the international community.
