Tehran Source Calls US Messages “Deceptive” Amid Rising Military Tensions

DID Press: A politically informed source in Tehran said recent messages from the United States proposing negotiations with the Iran are part of a “deceptive plan,” adding that Iranian authorities have little trust in Washington’s intentions. The source claimed the US military’s aggressive posture in the region remains unchanged, with signs pointing to possible harassment operations or even new ground actions.

The assessment comes as the United Nations has expressed concern over escalating military activity and increasingly sharp rhetoric from both sides, urging continued diplomatic engagement to prevent further conflict.

At the same time, Western military analyses indicate that the large-scale deployment of U.S. forces around Iran has created the capacity to conduct limited airstrikes if tensions intensify. From Tehran’s perspective, such deployments signal additional pressure from Washington rather than a genuine shift toward de-escalation.

Despite ongoing diplomatic messages delivered through the United States and various intermediaries, Iranian officials remain skeptical, arguing that Washington is using military threats alongside diplomacy as a dual-track strategy to influence negotiations.
