Over 400 Afghan Migrants Released from Pakistani Prisons, Return Home

DID Press: More than 400 Afghan migrants detained in Pakistan have been released and returned to Afghanistan during the current week, according to the Taliban-led Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation.

Officials said a total of 426 individuals re-entered Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak Border Crossing after spending periods ranging from one day to two months in detention.

Authorities in Kandahar Province reported that the returnees were registered upon arrival, provided humanitarian assistance, and then transported to their regions of origin.

The arrests and deportations of Afghan migrants from Pakistan have increased in recent months, raising humanitarian concerns among aid agencies and local communities.
