Marandi: Pakistan Quad Talks Not Linked to Iran

DID Press: Strategic affairs expert Seyed Mohammad Marandi emphasized that the meeting of foreign ministers from Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia in Pakistan has no connection to Iran, and Tehran’s red lines will remain valid until the end of the war.

In an interview with Al Mayadeen, Marandi stressed that the four-way meeting taking place today (Sunday) in Pakistan is unrelated to Iran, and its decisions will not affect Tehran’s policies.

Referring to the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said: “We have five fundamental red lines that will remain in place until the end of the war.”

Marandi added that these red lines include ending threats against Iran and the Resistance Axis, implementing the Gaza agreement, halting aggressions against Lebanon, compensating damages caused by Israeli and U.S. actions, and respecting the ceasefire in Gaza.

He also stressed: “The ceasefire in Gaza has not been merely symbolic, and the United States must respect Iran’s red lines.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia have arrived in Islamabad for extensive consultations aimed at reducing regional tensions.

The meeting seeks to explore ways to ease tensions in the Middle East and strengthen the peace process in Gaza, but Iranian officials have confirmed that Iran is not directly participating in these talks.
