Kabul’s Shah wa Arous Dam Reaches Full Capacity After Heavy Rains
DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Water and Energy has announced that the Shah wa Arous Dam, located in Shakar Dara District of Kabul, has reached full capacity following recent rainfall. The dam, which was officially handed over to the ministry for operation last year, is now completely filled.

According to the ministry, the filling of the Shah wa Arous Dam is expected to play a significant role in improving local economic conditions and strengthening agricultural activities in Shakar Dara. Officials stated that the increased water storage capacity will support irrigation systems and is likely to have a positive impact on the livelihoods of residents in the surrounding communities.
