Water Transfer and Agricultural Development Plans

In the water management sector, the office confirmed approval of a plan to transfer water from the Kunar River to the Darunta Dam. Officials stated that, if implemented, the project could significantly contribute to agricultural expansion and increased electricity generation.

Transport Infrastructure Projects Underway

In the infrastructure sector, construction has begun on a new overpass in front of the Kabul provincial administration building, while work on the Kabul–Bagram highway project is currently in progress. These initiatives have been described as key measures to improve transportation efficiency and reduce traffic congestion.

The report further noted that regular meetings of the Economic Commission were held during the quarter, and the Procurement Commission approved 21 separate projects with a total value of approximately 2.5 billion Afghanis.
