Afghanistan Records Surge in Rail Cargo Imports Through Key Transit Corridors
DID Press: Ministry of Public Works under the Taliban administration announced that a total of 151,750 metric tons of petroleum products, non-petroleum goods, and other commodities entered Afghanistan via railway lines over the past week.

According to the ministry, the shipments were transported through several major rail ports, including Hairatan, Aqina, Torghundi, and the Khaf–Herat railway corridor.
During the same period, 63 tons of commercial goods were exported from Afghanistan to foreign markets, with dried fruits accounting for the majority of outbound shipments. The figures underscore the growing role of rail infrastructure in facilitating trade flows and supporting the country’s logistics and export capacity.
