Nuristan Governor: Alternative Routes Being Reopened for Kamdish and Bargmatal
DID Press: Governor of Nuristan province announced that work has begun on alternative routes for Kamdish and Bargmatal districts.

Zain-ul-Abedin Abid, the governor, stated that the development of these alternative routes is underway.
This announcement follows previous reports that Pakistani forces had seized the main routes in these areas, preventing the Taliban from reopening them.
The main roads leading to Kamdish and Bargmatal were blocked after Pakistani forces fired on vehicles, halting all traffic in the region.
In an interview published on social media platform X on Tuesday, March 11, Abid said: “We have two other alternative routes. From Parun, via the Peprok Kando pass, one can reach Kamdish district. This road was constructed last year but had been blocked by snow. Now teams are working to reopen it.”
According to the governor, the alternative routes will soon be ready for travel, aiming to ensure safety and facilitate mobility for residents of Kamdish and Bargmatal districts.
