DID Press: Russian FM Sergey Lavrov has announced that Moscow is prepared to act as a mediator to reduce escalating tensions between Iran and United States, should both sides be willing. He stated that Russia will utilize its diplomatic capacities to prevent the crisis from spreading further in the region.
Lavrov also highlighted the sensitive situation in the Persian Gulf, warning that the current trajectory could lead to a broader conflict—one whose economic and security consequences might extend beyond the region, including to Afghanistan.
