DID Press: An Israeli airstrike near a school housing displaced Palestinians in central Gaza City killed at least 10 people and injured several others.
Health officials reported that the attack occurred on Monday during clashes between Palestinians and an Israeli-backed armed group, which residents and doctors said attempted to abduct individuals from inside the school.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital stated: “At least 10 people were killed and dozens injured, with six in critical condition.” These casualties resulted from gunfire and clashes in the eastern Maghazi refugee camp.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli drones fired two rockets during the clashes, causing the fatalities and multiple injuries.
Ahmad Al-Maghazi told Reuters: “Residents tried to defend their homes, but the occupying forces targeted them directly.”
Meanwhile, the leader of the Israeli-backed armed group claimed in a released video that approximately five Hamas members were killed.
