DID Press: Reports from Washington indicate that formal efforts have begun in Congress to invoke the 25th Amendment of the US Constitution and to initiate impeachment proceedings against the Defense Secretary.
Yasmin Ansari, an Iranian-American lawmaker, sharply criticized Donald Trump, claiming that his escalation of tensions and use of threatening rhetoric are driving the U.S. toward a destructive war.
She stated that over the past 48 hours, Trump, alongside Pete Hegseth, crossed behavioral red lines and repeatedly threatened attacks on Iran’s infrastructure.
Ansari emphasized that, for these reasons, the official process to invoke the 25th Amendment for presidential removal and to pursue impeachment of the Defense Secretary has been activated.
