DID Press: International relations analyst Professor Hadi Shalouf highlighted that the recent ceasefire terms between Iran and United States reflect Tehran’s diplomatic strength.

In an article for Al-Rai Al-Youm, Shalouf wrote that the war pause was announced with clearly defined conditions, which will form the basis for upcoming Iran-US negotiations.
He emphasized that the terms largely favor Iran, showcasing the country’s strategic and diplomatic capabilities. “Through strategic foresight and skill, Iran has secured concessions from the US that were previously deemed unlikely,” Shalouf noted, calling this success a reinforcement of Iran’s regional standing and an example of effective, independent diplomacy.
Shalouf also stressed Iran’s experience in self-reliance and strategic independence, suggesting that Arab countries could learn from this model to reduce dependence on external powers and strengthen domestic capabilities.
The Arab analyst concluded that the ceasefire highlights Iran’s diplomatic victory and solidifies its position as a decisive actor in the region.
