DID Press: Russia’s special presidential envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, has warned that rising tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban are slowing down the implementation of key regional development projects in Afghanistan.

Kabulov said the projects are being pursued with Russian participation, but ongoing disputes and instability in bilateral relations are preventing meaningful progress on the ground.
He further cautioned that the recent escalation in tensions between the two sides has weakened already fragile regional security and could have broader negative consequences for Afghanistan’s stability as well as regional economic cooperation.
The remarks come amid growing concerns over the future of cross-border infrastructure and transit initiatives, as political and security challenges continue to strain relations between Kabul and Islamabad in recent months.
