DID Press: Taliban’s 203rd Mansoori Corps announced that it has prevented the smuggling of weapons and ammunition from Pakistan into Afghanistan during a targeted security operation in Paktia province.
According to the corps, the operation was conducted in the Chamkani district after intelligence reports indicated the movement of illegal arms across border routes. Security forces tracked a suspicious vehicle in the “Shahr-e Nau” area and intercepted it before it reached its destination.
During the search, authorities reportedly recovered 58 pistols, a significant quantity of ammunition, and one Toyota Fielder vehicle. Two suspects were also arrested in connection with the case.
Officials said the timely action and vigilance of security forces led to the failure of the smuggling attempt.
