Flood Victims in Ghor Receive No Aid Yet After Severe Damage

DID Press: Local sources in Ghor Province report that recent flooding has destroyed dozens of homes and shops across the districts of Murghab, Al-Farooq, and Charsada.

According to reports, more than 100 houses in two districts were partially damaged, while around 2,000 sheep were lost. Several thousand hectares of agricultural land have also been submerged by floodwaters.

Despite the deployment of initial assessment teams, no humanitarian assistance has yet been delivered by local authorities or aid organizations.

Affected residents are urgently in need of food, shelter, and clean drinking water, with aid shortages worsening the humanitarian situation.

Local officials warn that without timely intervention, displaced families may be forced to leave their homes and move toward the provincial capital, further increasing pressure on limited urban resources.
